A DOGGIE PRAYER ♥♥
So do not grieve for me, my friend, as I am with my kind.
My collar is a rainbow's hue
My leash is a shooting star
My boundaries are the milky way, where I sparkle from afar. ♥♥
There are no pens or kennels here, for I am not confined,
but free to roam God's heavens among my special kind. I nap the day on a snowy cloud and gentle breezes are rocking me; I dream the dreams of earthlings and how it used to be. ♥♥
The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound, and milk bones line the walking ways just waiting to be found.There even is a ring set up, the grass all lush and green, and everyone who gaits around becomes the "Best Of Breed". ♥♥
For we're all winners in this
place, we have no faults
you see. And God passes
out the ribbons to each
one--even me. I drink from
waters laced with gold, my
world a beauty to behold.
And wise old dogs do form
my pride to amble at my
very side.♥♥
At night I sleep in an
angel's arms, her wings
protecting me, and
moonbeams dance about
us as stardust falls on
thee.♥♥
So when your life on earth
is spent and you reach
heaven's gate, have no
fear of loneliness, for here,
you know I wait. ♥♥

“Oh Noble Creature"
“Oh Noble Creature the time has come for the two of us to part. And for you to go to a better place, a place deep inside my heart. A place where you’ll be be free to chase cars and balls and play. So go noble creature thru that doggy door. And fetch a stick that’s thrown by God. And wag thy tail forevermore while a friendly voice repeats, “Good dog, good dog.” and I LOVE YOU —Author unknown

Blessed Are The Animals
Their days are like raindrops
on time's windowpane,
each trickles away
and will not come again;
but blessed are they
as their goodness shines through
and changes the raindrops
to diamonds of dew!
Their years are like leaves
that float to the ground
in colors of emerald
and amber and brown;
and blessed are they
whose "leaves", as they fall,
form a blanket of beauty
that comforts us all!
Their lives are like clouds
that swiftly sail by
and are gone in a moment
from Eternity's sky;
but blessed are they
who turn grey clouds to white,
whose love shines like stars
on the canvas of night!
Pet's souls are like angels
with wings that are furled,
assigned to each mortal
who dwells in this world;
and blessed are they
whose love conquers strife,
the animals are beacons
that brighten each life!

Magic Of A Rainbow
I'll never see a rainbow
That I won't think of you;
Though days seem bleak and dreary
The sun is shining through.
A symbol of God's love fulfilled
In beauty, hope and grace;
A rainbow is a mirror
Reflecting His own face.
It arches o'er the mountains
With Heaven its domain;
Its brilliant colors wakened by
The grayness and the rain.
Now may I see the rainbows sent
To ease my broken heart,
Promising His healing love,
Shine through when teardrops start.
Miraculous, magical rainbows,
Blessing the sadness with peace;
God gently smiling and touching,
Bidding the sadness cease.

The Promise
To each and every faithful friend
With whom we stayed until the end
Rest in peace while we explain
That one day we will meet again
If we were not there and so did fail
To see the last wag of your tail
Our love for you will never wane
Forgive us, please, when we meet again
We were with your presence blessed
Your ample heart, which won the quest
For beauty, flowing in your vein
Will see the day we meet again
You gave us many happy years
Departing, with us crying tears
We pray that you were without pain
And promise that we will meet again
Greater friends we will not make
You are they that give not take
Perchance we have some more to gain
Until the day we meet again
When that day comes and we all meet
May you once more rise to your feet
To walk with us in sun not rain
And fulfil the promise to meet again

We Let You Go
Into the darkness and warmth of the earth
We lay you down
Into the sadness and smiles of our memories
We lay you down
Into the cycle of living and dying and rising again
We lay you down
May you rest in peace, in fulfilment, in loving
May you run straight home in God's embrace
Into the freedom of wind and sunshine
We let you go
Into the dance of the stars and the planets
We let you go
Into the wind's breath and the hands of the star maker
We let you go
We love you, we miss you, we want you to be happy
Go safely, go dancing, go running home

Behind Your Wings
Like a veil being drawn across my heart
With your love buried deep inside
When troubled times are about to start
Behind your wings I hide
When temptation comes and I know it must
To reveal what's hidden inside
I call to the only one I trust
And behind your wings I hide
When night-time creeps upon the day
And there's no-one by my side
I close my eyes and with my spirit I pray
It's behind your wings I hide
Like a veil being drawn across my heart
To heal the wounds deep inside
Your love fills my being in every part
And on your wings I glide.
Lorraine Thompson
Life must go on
Grieve for me, for I would grieve for you.
Then brush away the sorrow and the tears
Life is not over, but begins anew,
with courage you must greet the coming years.
To live forever in the past is wrong;
can only cause you misery and pain.
Dwell not on memories overlong,
with others you must share and care again.
Reach out and comfort those who comfort you;
recall the years, but only for a while.
Nurse not your loneliness; but live again.
Forget not. Remember with a smile.
a Navaho Prayer
Our memories build a special bridge
When loved ones have to part
To help us feel were with them still
And soothe a grieving heart
They span the years and warm our lives
Preserving ties that bind
Our memories build a special bridge
And bring us peace of mind
Emily Mathews
When we lose a loved one
Our world just falls apart
We think that we cant carry on
With this broken heart
Everything is different now
You're upset and you're annoyed
Your world it seems is shattered
There's such an awful void
There's got to be a reason
And we have to understand
God made us and at any time
Hell reach down for our hand
There might not be a warning
We won't know where or when
The only thing were certain of
Is well meet them once again.
